The author spent twenty years in the U.S. Military where he advanced from enlisted recruit to chief warrant officer W3 in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. During the author's military career he served as an instructor for communications, small weapons, jungle survival, security and  combat-in-cities. He was a Green Beret, trained in demolitions and clandestine communications. He was also a helicopter pilot and was involved in undercover work for military intelligence in Germany. He served in the Middle East and has studied Islam and Arab culture for the past twenty years to become a Middle East expert and student of Islam. After retiring from the service he went to work for Bell Helicopter as a test pilot in Iran . Upon leaving Iran he moved to Boca Raton, Florida where he now lives with his wife.

 The Books:  

Ten Months in Iran subtitled "God wants me to kill you" is a true story written by JohnF.Simpson. Mr. Simpson was in Iran working as a test pilot for Bell Helicopter during the 1978 Iranian revolution and got out of the country during the final days of the Shah. His book relates his experiences living under, and dealing with, Islamic custom and habits. It is a severe commentary on some of the radical beliefs held by Iranian Shiite Moslems. It is also a love story because the author fell in love with a beautiful young Iranian woman who he had to leave behind.

 

Operation Minerva, by JohnF.Simpson , is a fictional story about the Green Berets in Thailand and Vietnam . The author served with the Green Berets in Thailand and Vietnam . The story is about a CIA mission to gather intelligence about a North Vietnamese spy school located a few miles outside of Hanoi . The Special Forces team is infiltrated into the area to photograph all activities and students at the school. Jack Dawson , the main character, falls in love with an Air Photo Intelligence woman who is a member of the intelligence group assigned to help prepare the team for the mission.

 

 

The Book in the Wall, by John F. Simpson, What will the world be like if we lose the war on terrorism? The Book in the Wall is John F Simpson 's prediction about the future of the United States . The story presents a nightmare version of the society we may become if we do not wake up to the reality of today. It is a startling and powerful novel that creates an image of a world where the government outlaws any technology it considers offensive and punishes the most minor of offences with a public execution. The story is completely convincing and draws heavily on contemporary events taking place today in England , France , and Denmark . It is a prophetic view of the world our grandchildren may have to endure if we do not act now to prevent the nightmare from becoming a reality.
